THE KILLING OF AMR BIN HIND BETWEEN REALITY AND LEGEND: A HISTORICAL STUDY
The Kingdom of Al-Hira occupied an important aspect of the history of the Arabs before Islam and was associated with many historical events. King Amr bin Hind was one of its most famous kings. His era witnessed a series of events and wars with the Arabs of the Levant. He also imposed his control over most of the Arabian Peninsula, and his court was a memorial for poets. This research included the life of Amr bin Hind and the most prominent events that occurred in his days and his relationship with the tribes of the Arabian Peninsula and how he was killed at the hands of the poet Amr bin Kulthum Al-taGhlubi. The research aims to highlight the truth about the killing of Amr bin Hind by relying on the narrations and discussing them in a scientific discussion in order to investigate accuracy and objectivity and to stay away from the narrations that were characterized by the nature of legend and fantasy, as well as mentioning the consequences that resulted from that.
