PREDICTING FINANCIAL FAILURE USING THE ANALYTICAL APPROACH TO THE FINANCIAL STATEMENTS AN APPLIED STUDY ON A SAMPLE OF IRAQI PRIVATE COMMERCIAL BANKS

Financial analysis and forecasting the financial failure of economic units are among the topics of importance that prompted many writers and researchers to study them, because of the negative effects that may result on the national economy, and on society as a whole. There are many methods of financial analysis in predicting financial failure, including the Sherrod model, Spring ate. The equation of these two models was applied to the data obtained through the statement of financial position and income statement for the Iraqi Middle East Bank for Investment. The results of the analysis for the years of study (2015-2019) showed that the Iraqi Middle East Bank for Investment achieved the highest ratio of capital adequacy index during 2017, the highest ratio of profitability index during 2015 and the highest liquidity ratio in 2015 which is (1.16), (1.95), (0.43%) Straight. In addition, the Sherrod model was the best in showing the financial failure of the research sample bank.
