FINANCIAL SUCCESS, RATIONALITY AND PULLING DOWN SYNDROME

The tendency of attempting to fail deliberately, is accepted as a syndrome and the reasons of this situation is surveyed. The people who try to fail deliberately, does not act rationally. The reason of this situation, which is known as pulling down syndrome, is not determined clearly yet. Behavioral finance, determined that people might make irrational decisions. Behavioral finance observed the reasons of irrationality, but the case of failing deliberately is not taken into account. The pulling down syndrome is observed with this survey. The research is made with a group of 105 people and the 72 results are evaluated. The received findings have the characteristic to define the pulling down syndrome and to make contribution to the fields of behavioral sciences and behavioral finance
