A COMPREHENSIVE CONCEPTUAL FRAMEWORK FOR CORPORATE SUSTAINABILITY

Corporate sustainability has captured the attention of much of the world over the last few years. Trends including the growth of nongovernmental organizations and movements suggest that the public is no longer satisfied with corporations that focus solely on short-term profit maximization. People want corporations to consider broad human needs. The words “sustainable businesses” may sound contradictory, but it is highly necessary for businesses to have less impact on the environment. The aim of this research is to study the concept of sustainable businesses by answering to the following question: “what exactly does it mean to be sustainable in business?” This study is based on descriptive method since it describes the subject of the topic. The findings of the research revealed that sustainable businesses will and need to be the future.
