THE ROLE OF IBN AL-KHATIB AND HIS CONTRIBUTION TO MAKING THE HISTORY OF ANDALUSIA DURING THE ERA OF BANU NASR IN THE KINGDOM OF GRANADA (713-776 AH / 1313 - 1374 AD)

The research deals with the role of Ibn al-Khatib and his contribution to making the history of Andalusia during the era of Banu Nasr in the Kingdom of Granada (713-776 AH / 1313-1374 AD). Lisan Al-Din Ibn Al-Khatib is considered one of the famous personalities, who held the position of the Ministry in the Kingdom of Granada, in the era of Bani Al-Ahmar. He also studied at the hands of many sheikhs and scholars, and took from them many diverse knowledge. Ibn al-Khatib lived in a house of knowledge, glory and presidency, and his rich, educated family had connections to the famous houses in Granada, Ibn al-Khatib succeeded his father Abdullah, who was working at that time as a minister in the palace and served in The Diwan of Creation, and was influenced from his childhood by the royal horizon in which he lived, and thanks to his skill and intelligence. Prince Al-Nasri pushed him to run the affairs of the kingdom and delegated him to do all the work on his behalf, so he became more than a minister and a politician. He was able to reach high ranks in the Nasrid court during the reign of Abu Al-Hajjaj Yusuf I and the reign of his son after Muhammad V, and he gained the trust of the good guys. Ibn al-Khatib continued to serve the Nasrid court with complete sincerity and sincerity in his work, and he records for us the facts and events that had an impact on the progress of sciences of all kinds, in a non-Arab country, but he refined the character of the Arab-Islamic civilization due to the development that the Arabs found in it, namely, that The era of the Nasrid family, which represented the last eras of the Islamic state in Andalusia at that period. Ibn al-Khatib continued his scientific, literary and political activities until he felt the danger threatening his life, and that conspiracies began to be hatched against him, so he decided to flee to the Maghreb in order to survive himself. In fact, the personality of Ibn al-Khatib was a great personality, as he represented and still represents to the present time, as one of the scholars who made the history of Andalusia during the era of the Nasrid state and the Marinid state. And we will talk about his making of this great history in writing the research later.
