THE HOUSES OF ADHR’AAT AND THEIR SCIENTIFIC AND ADMINISTRATIVE CONTRIBUTIONS IN THE LEVANT AND EGYPT FROM THE SEVENTH CENTURY TO THE NINTH CENTURY AH

The corridors of science and administration in the Levant and Egypt during the period from the seventh century until the ninth century AH witnessed a remarkable presence of the scholars of Adhr’aat city, as they contributed to the support and development of religious sciences such as the sciences of the Noble Qur’an, the hadith, and jurisprudence, as well as the sciences of the Arabic language, including grammar and literature, they taught it in some schools in the Levant and Egypt, in addition to authoring books, especially in the field of jurisprudence, and their administrative contributions were represented in their leadership of important functions in the state such as the judiciary, the ministry, the Hesba, and the consideration of the army and others, and the reason for choosing the subject of study is to strive to achieve several goals, including shedding light on the name and history of the city of Adhr’aat, that many researchers may not have heard of it, and getting to know the most important scientific and administrative families that emerged from it, and knowing the scientific and administrative contributions of these families in the Levant and Egypt during the period the focus of the research, as well as knowing the role of the ruling authority in supporting the houses of Adhr’aat in a way that enhances their value or position within the Levantine and Egyptian societies.
