THE HISTORICAL DEVELOPMENT OF THE IRAQI AIR FLEET FOR THE PERIOD 1950-2021 (A STUDY IN THE GEOGRAPHY OF TRANSPORTATION)
Air transport remains one of the most important elements of the infrastructure of any geographic region in our current era, and it is necessary for development and sustainable development, and an important means that provides people with spatial movement through the air, because this mode of transportation, which has many advantages and many considerations, is preferred over other modes, including: speed This is why the countries of the world, especially the advanced ones, are racing to discover and develop air transport, airports and the supplies that must be available to complete the desired task of the transport process in a safe manner. The history of the Iraqi air fleet extends back to 1946, which is the beginning of the establishment of the Iraqi Airways Company, but the real development of air transport in general and the development of the air fleet in particular after 1950, and for the purpose of reaching the highest levels of accuracy in clarifying this historical development, will be studied by dividing it into Three main stages: The first stage: 1950-2008 The second phase: 2008-2018 The third stage: 2019-2021 The study found the following: 1.
