SOCIOLOGY AND THE STUDY OF RELIGIOUS PHENOMENON: FATWA AS A SUBJECT FOR SOCIOLOGICAL RESEARCH
The Fatwa has an important status in Islamic culture, because it connects the Sacred with the Praofane, and it frames the relationship between religion and religiosity on the one hand, and between religion and the social reality of believers on the other hand. So the source of fatwa is heavenly, but its impact is social and earthly. Hence, this research paper aims to answer the following questions: How can Fatwa be addressed as a subject of sociological research? And what are the difficulties that the researcher faces while delving into this subject?.
