INTERNATIONAL LEGAL PROTECTION FOR WOMEN DURING ARMED CONFLICTS
The international community has witnessed and continues to witness the outbreak of numerous armed conflicts. Whether these conflicts are international or local, most of the victims are defenseless civilians, especially vulnerable groups, especially women. Woman are subjected to grave violations during armed conflicts from the Middle Ages to the present day, and these violations result in severe physical and psychological effects that accompany women for life. The international community has sought to establish legal rules in order to protect women from the criminal acts that affect their physical integrity and degrade their human dignity. We deal with the research on the subject by dividing it into two sections,we dedicate the first to showing the substantive protection of women during armed conflicts, while we single out the second topic: to present the procedural protection of women during armed conflicts.
