DAOUD ALI EREKAT (ABU SALAM) (1927-2020)
The study starts from the problematic that although Daoud Erekat was subjected to many forms of torture, persecution and exile outside of his homeland by the Israeli occupation forces, which eventually led to him losing his sight and part of his hearing sense. Nevertheless, he remained committed to the justice of his cause and the right of his people to independence and freedom. This study attempts to reveal the suffering and steadfastness of the Palestinian person in front of the hell of the Israeli occupation and its crimes, by addressing the biography of an influential Jerusalemite political figure, during a period of time rich in defining its importance and specificity. Sheikh Daoud was one of the initial militants; Those who struggled throughout their lives in accordance with their principles and talked about his giving journey full of struggle and revolutionary struggle in multiple combative stations, which he devoted to defending his people and their cause, and about his role in political and social life in Palestine and abroad.
