ALGERIAN FAMILY IN THE SHADOW OF SOCIAL CHANGE

This study represents a field approach to the Algerian family ‎in relation to social change and aims to determine the extent ‎to which the structure and function of the family have ‎changed, as well as the implications of this change, ‎particularly in relation to the family value system in ‎general. The study concluded that social change has infected ‎the structure and function of the family as the nucleus of ‎society. The system of family values has undergone some ‎changes, but the Algerian family still adheres to some ‎traditional values, as they relate to the customs, customs and ‎traditions of ancestors, such as marriage traditions and the ‎celebration of religious events and holidays‎.
